Our client based near Hampton Court, Surrey is a £16m turnover business which supplies luxury home products.

They require in Interim Financial Controller to join until minimum April 2023. The role is a hybrid position with most staff doing 3 days in the office and 2 remotely at present. 


  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the cash flow forecast and report variances
  • Ensuring month-end and year-end close process completed
  • Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting debts of company debtors
  • Evaluating new credit requests and reviewing customers’ credit rankings with banks
  • Ensuring timely payment of debts
  • Processing the payment run
  • Negotiating re-payment plans
  • Responding to relevant client enquiries
  • Processing and reconciliation of invoices
  • Checking and posting of receipts to accounting systems
  • Preparation of statements, client status reports and all relevant information as required
  • Pays employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances



  • Outstanding attention to detail with an ability to reconcile complex accounts
  • SAGE 200 experience
  • Accurate, efficient and organised with the ability to prioritise tasks as needed
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office and accountancy software
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with external clients and internal colleagues
  • Professional, confident and diplomatic when liaising with others
  • Minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role / suitability qualified
  • Experience with entering into currency contracts
