Part Time Financial Controller required for Food Wholesale company in Hampshire. The role will be for approx 21 hours per week and the role can be done predominately from home with the requirement to attend occasional meetings on site in Andover.
The company are approx £10m turnover family business and the incumbent FC is retiring.
You will be responsible for all aspects of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control activities using generally accepted accounting principles.
On offer is a salary of approx £55-60k FTE plus benefits
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Manage the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger functions
Month end procedures including preparation of management accounts, balance sheet reconciliation of control accounts and variance analysis
Reconciliation of bank statements
Cash flow forecasting as required by the Directors
Year end accounts and liaison with auditors
Complete VAT returns, reconcile AP and AR control accounts (input/output) and work with VAT inspector as required
Preparation of annual budgets
Providing strategic financial input to the Directors to facilitate the decision-making process
Review and develop procedures to ensure best practice
Update commission reports
Payments to all suppliers
Pension Fund Accounts and VAT
Prepare information on Directors’ earnings to produce annual tax return
Reporting for the office for national statistics
Reporting for annual combined insurance cover
Chair management meetings
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Any other duty within your capability that the company may require you to do.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferably CIMA/ACA qualified or part qualified or qualified by experience in a similar role.
