A well established , manufacturing/engineering company based just outside Cambridge are looking for a Full time or Part time Management Accountant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to make the next step in their career but has previous experience in a manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for all the management accounts, variance analysis, budgets, forecasting and costing for the business.

This is either a full time or part time role ( minimum three days per week) and with flexibility on how the hours are worked. The role comes with a good benefits package

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Monthly Management accounts and reporting
• Forecasts and budgetting
• Establish and improve overhead, manufacturing cost and product margin analysis
• Investigate and explain variances and prepare bridge between actual performance and budget / forecast
• Assist the development of a suite of management reports to provide insight to financial performance of Sectors
• Assist department heads with budgetary analysis - actual v forecast
• Support with adhoc financial analysis – will be extensive and varied

• Preferred: PartQual /Qualified CIMA or ACCA
• Solutions orientated, able to problem solve
• Minimum two years management accounts experience in an SME manufacturing company
• Strong accounting systems, Sage 200, SAGE Payroll, ERP system and Excel skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• High numeracy and sound technical skills
• Problem-solving skills and initiative.
