We are working exclusively with a £60m Manufacturing business in the East Midlands that are recruiting a new Managing Director.

Interviews will be held in Sept / October with a view to start date of January 2025

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the company's strategic vision and long-term plans, focusing on growth, innovation, and market expansion.
  2. Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of manufacturing, production, and quality control to ensure the delivery of high-quality equipment.
  3. Financial Management: Manage the company's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, to maximize profitability.
  4. Sales and Market Development: Lead sales and marketing efforts to identify new markets, expand the customer base, and achieve sales targets.
  5. Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing leadership team, providing guidance and support to achieve company goals.
  6. Product Development: Drive innovation in product development, staying ahead of industry trends, and ensuring that [Company Name]'s products remain competitive and cutting-edge.
  7. Quality Assurance: Maintain and enhance quality control processes to ensure the consistency and reliability of our equipment.
  8. Compliance: Ensure that the company complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  9. Customer Relations: Foster strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, and partners to ensure customer satisfaction and enhance the company's reputation.
  10. Board Relations: Collaborate with the board of directors to provide regular updates on company performance, strategic initiatives, and key decisions.

  1. Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably as a Managing Director or in a similar capacity within the manufacturing industry.
  2. A bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.
  3. Strong business acumen, with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful business strategies.
  4. Excellent financial management skills, including budgeting and financial analysis.
  5. Knowledge of equipment manufacturing and the foodservice industry.
  6. Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities.
  7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Innovative thinking and a drive to stay at the forefront of industry trends.
  9. Demonstrated commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
  10.  Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
