Exclusive role for a Finance Director based in Lincolnshire to start in 2025. The client are a Manufacturing business with £65m+ turnover.

The Finance Director will be a Board member with responsibility for the Finance and IT functions.
There will be a 3 stage interview process including at least 1 on site.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES.
Director and Board Member
Responsible for the financial soundness and integrity of the company
Keep the Board and Corporate up to date and informed of the financial performance of the company and all issues relating to finance
Contribute actively to the day to day management of the company
Participate in the setting and delivery of the strategic direction of the company
Create and maintain accounting policies and ensure they are observed
Police the balance sheet ensuring the security of assets and the correct measurement and valuation of balances.
Maintain controls over company expenditure with sound policies and procedures, including fixed assets.
Take the lead on corporate legal and accounting compliance
Management Accounting and Reporting
Develop and maintain a class leading accounting function
Lead and motivate the team, maintaining the highest standards
Provide, where appropriate, relevant training and experience to develop and progress team members
Ensure that processes and procedures are appropriate, kept updated and applied
Group Reporting
Responsible for the timely reporting of results, forecasts and financial position to Group Corporate Accounting
Provide all explanations and supporting information to Group to enable them to fully understand the numbers
Build processes and procedures to efficiently meet all Group reporting requirements via the OneStream reporting tool or via other means as required
Present results and forecasts to the Board and financial controllers via on-line meetings or phone calls
Implement KPIs which align with Corporate objective and targets, measuring and reporting on these
External and Statutory Reporting
Prepare and file statutory accounts for all companies in the Group
Manage the relationship with the companies’ auditors and ensure that the audit is completed and accounts filed within the required deadlines
Complete all finance related ONS returns
Liaise with the Corporate Tax department to assist in all Corporate Tax related matters, ensuring that the books are kept in line with tax submissions
Provide the pension trustees with adequate financial information to enable them to meet their covenant obligations
Ensure all other tax, treasury and other external reporting obligations are met.
Budgeting and Forecasting
Responsible for production of the annual budget, and other ad hoc budgets as required
Present the budget, with all required analysis, to the Board
Maintain up to date rolling forecasts and present to Corporate in regular forecast calls
Maintain a reliable cashflow forecast
Company Secretarial, Legal and Compliance
Act as a point of reference for legal matters
Responsible for legal filings at Companies House
Maintain the legal structure of the wider group including managing all holding companies and subsidiaries.
Maintain company insurances, liaising with brokers on cover and renewals, handle claims
Coordinate applications and renewals for trademarks and patents
IT
Responsible for the provision of IT services to the company
Manage the IT resource required to provide the services
Ensure that IT policies are maintained in accordance with Group guidelines
KEY INTERACTIONS
The purpose of this role is to be the Finance lead and spokesperson for the company, take responsibility for the IT function and be a point of reference for legal and company secretarial matters. The following are some examples of key interactions, but is not an exhaustive list:
Group
Board and senior management: present results, forecasts, budgets and financial analysis at regular on-line meetings
Head of Corporate Accounting, CFO and Corporate Controllers: maintain regular contact with senior members of the Corporate team, keeping them appraised of all finance related matters
Corporate legal: keep the legal team informed in a timely manner of all legal matters affecting the company
Board
Presentation of budgets, forecast and results to the Board
Work closely with operational Board members:
Management team
Regular and routine interaction with all members of the management team to maintain relationships
Present and disseminate financial information to enable all members of the team to manage in an informed way
Enable the smooth running of the accounts function by ensuring that management team members understand their obligations to the processes

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
A seasoned professional, with Board and Corporate level experience
Manufacturing experience
Experienced working at the very top of the finance function
Excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal
Good people management skills, being used to leading, motivating and developing
Sound accounting skills covering management and financial reporting, treasury, tax, forecasting and budgeting
Skilled in the interpretation of complex financial data using such tools as Excel and Access
Hands-on experience of using a manufacturing-based ERP system
Adept at forming a bridge between Finance and the business to interpret and explain financial data and concepts
Display the ability to drill down to detail whilst understanding the bigger picture
A thorough understanding of management accounting principles
Will preferably have experience of working in a group / multinational organisation and be familiar with working to group reporting standards and deadlines
