Our client is a rapidly expanding firm of chartered accountants providing comprehensive financial and advisory services across the UK. As the practice scales further, they are seeking a driven, strategic, and commercially astute candidate to support and collaborate with the Sales Director / CCO in delivering revenue and growth targets across their offices in their Northern Region. This role is remote with travel when required to their offices around Manchester, Birmingham , Leeds and Newcastle. 

The successful candidate will play a key part in both new business acquisition and account retention, working closely with regional leadership and central teams to build and convert a strong pipeline of opportunities.


  • Support the Sales Director in executing the firm’s national sales strategy
  • Deliver against an individual sales target.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target sectors, including SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and private equity-backed enterprises.
  • Partner with regional leaders to generate qualified leads, design tailored value propositions, and close new engagements.
  • Foster existing client relationships to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across service lines.
  • Participate in high-value pitches and commercial negotiations
  • Analyse local market trends and competitor activity to inform targeting strategies.
  • Contribute to pipeline reporting, forecasting, and CRM management, ensuring accuracy and visibility.
  • Represent the practice at industry events, networking opportunities, and regional roundtables.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operational teams to ensure campaign alignment and client onboarding success.
  • Validate the client requirement through online and in-house research tools, formulate report and action plans to generate sales ready leads.



  • Proven success in B2B sales or business development within the service sector (e.g. consulting, recruitment, facilities, financial services, etc.).
  • A quick learner with the ability to rapidly understand new services
  • Familiarity with the UK SME and mid-market landscape
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working in collaborative or matrix teams
  • Capable user of CRM systems and comfortable with pipeline reporting and forecasting.
  • Commercially minded, with a talent for spotting client needs and shaping opportunities in partnership with others.
  • SME accounting or professional services experience is a plus, but not essential – we’re more interested in your drive, curiosity, and ability to get results.
