Our client, a UK-wide Accountancy Practice backed by private equity with a turnover exceeding £20m, is seeking a dynamic leader for the London and South East Region. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established accountancy practice at a senior level and play a key role in shaping its strategic direction. The role will be perfect for candidates who either hold RI status or are clearly ready for the next step in their career. This role will partner with an existing Audut RI , each managing a shared portfolio of £1.4m with a growth target to £1.8m

The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified, with leadership experience at a senior level. Strong expertise in accounts and audit is essential, along with the ability to provide exceptional support to both clients and team members. This role offers good flexibility and can be based in one of the firms offices in London, Surrey, Kent or Hampshire with hybrid working.

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the strategic plan for the SME Accounting Practice, aligning with the organisation's overall goals and objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring the delivery of exceptional tax, audit, accounting, advisory, and corporate finance services.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including crafting proposals, participating in client presentations, and negotiating engagements.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the delivery of projects across tax, audit, accounting, advisory, and corporate finance, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analyses, including preparing financial statements, audits, tax planning, and compliance services.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Innovation: Drive innovation within the practice, exploring new methodologies, technologies, and approaches to enhance service delivery across all areas of expertise.


  • ACA/ ACCA qualified accountant
  • Proven background in practice, with comprehensive expertise in accounts and audit
