One of Scotlands largest distribution companies is looking for a new Accounts Administrator to join their team. This is a well-established company with a £7 million turnover and a team of around 35 employees. They are a respected name within their sector, combining long-standing values with a forward-thinking approach. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a proactive and organised Accounts Administrator to join the team in Edinburgh.

The Accounts Administrator will play an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of administrative and accounting duties, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail across all financial processes.


  • Prepare and post daily cash sheets
  • Prepare weekly banking
  • Manage credit control, including following up on outstanding payments
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and handle customer enquiries professionally
  • Process cash and credit card sales transactions
  • Receipt goods in and update systems accordingly
  • Post purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Support with any adhoc finance and office administration tasks as required





  • Previous experience in an accounts administration or finance support role
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
  • Competent IT user with experience in accounting software (Sage 1000 preferred; experience with Microsoft GP an advantage)
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a small, collaborative team
