We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established technology business based in Leatherhead, forming part of a growing international group. The UK office is a friendly, close-knit team of around 20 people and this is a genuinely varied sole-charge finance role with real ownership and autonomy.
Reporting into the group CFO, you will be the go-to finance person for the UK entity, managing the full range of day-to-day financial operations with minimal oversight from the centre.
The Role
Full ownership of the UK accounting function including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and transaction processing
Accounts receivable ledger management and customer follow-ups
Payroll processing and employee expense reimbursement
Month-end close including prepaids, accruals, depreciation, and balance sheet reconciliations
Financial controls and reporting across the order cycle, including purchase orders and commercial agreements
Sales administration including vendor registrations and coordination with the sales team
Maintaining the link between the inventory management system and the accounting system through to COGS
Cash flow monitoring and compliance filings
A small amount of office management including managing contracts and placing orders
About You
5+ years in an all-round accounting role, ideally within a small or medium-sized business
Comfortable working independently with minimal day-to-day oversight
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and month-end processes
Proficient in Excel and accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks
Experience with inventory management systems is a bonus
A self-starter who can hit the ground running
