Senior Operations Manager

London / Hybrid (Flexible) | Competitive Salary + Bonus + Benefits

Become the operational partner to the COO of a growing, private equity-backed professional services business.

Our client is an ambitious and rapidly expanding professional services group with offices across the UK. Backed by private equity investment, the business is entering an exciting phase of growth through both acquisition and organic expansion.

As part of this journey, they are looking to appoint a Senior Operations Manager to work directly alongside the Chief Operating Officer, taking ownership of operational delivery across the group and helping to shape the next stage of the organisation's development.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a genuinely influential role where you will help build the operational platform for a growing national business.

Reporting directly to the COO, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence across the business, ensuring consistency, accountability and continuous improvement across multiple locations.

Working closely with Regional Directors and Functional Heads, you'll translate strategic objectives into operational delivery, improve business performance and help integrate future acquisitions into a consistent operating model.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading day-to-day operational performance across a multi-site professional services business.
  • Supporting Regional Directors and senior managers to improve operational consistency and accountability.
  • Driving business improvement initiatives across people, processes and systems.
  • Developing KPIs, operational reporting and management information to support informed decision making.
  • Supporting the successful integration of acquired businesses.
  • Working alongside the COO on strategic projects and organisational development.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability and client experience.
  • Building an operational culture focused on continuous improvement and high performance.

We're looking for a commercially minded operational leader who enjoys improving businesses, leading change and working closely with senior stakeholders.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Significant operational leadership experience within a growing professional services business.
  • Experience gained within accountancy, legal, consulting or another professional services environment.
  • A proven track record of improving operational performance across multiple teams or locations.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior level.
  • A naturally commercial mindset, balancing operational excellence with business growth.
  • Experience of organisational change, transformation or acquisition integration would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience within a private equity-backed business would be beneficial, although not essential.

Why Apply?

  • This is far more than a traditional operations management role.
  • You'll become the COO's trusted operational partner, helping to shape the future of a business with ambitious growth plans and significant investment behind it.
  • The successful individual will have genuine influence across the organisation, exposure to strategic decision-making and the opportunity to grow alongside the business as it continues to expand.

Package

  • Competitive salary
  • Performance-related bonus
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Flexible location (London preferred, although the business is open to the right individual based elsewhere in the UK who is happy to travel)
