Hertfordshire | Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 remote)
Our client is a well-established UK travel organisation , looking to appoint a Financial Controller following the planned departure of their current Finance Manager.
Reporting into the Finance Director, this is an opportunity to step into a broad and highly visible leadership role, taking ownership of the finance function while helping shape the future direction of the business.
Working alongside the senior leadership team, you'll lead a small finance team, oversee all financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, improve systems and processes and play a key role in commercial decision making.
Key responsibilities
Lead and develop a finance team of three
Own monthly management accounts and Board reporting
Lead budgeting, forecasting and cashflow
Manage audit, statutory accounts and tax compliance
Oversee treasury and foreign currency management
Improve finance systems and reporting (Business Central)
Business partner senior stakeholders across the organisation
Drive process improvements and automation
We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with previous Financial Controller experience within the travel sector.
You'll ideally have experience of:
Tour Operator accounting
TOMS VAT
ABTA / CAA reporting
Multi-currency finance
Leading finance teams
Business Central (advantageous)
